This week : WAM Holiday Sale & No Coast Craft-O-Rama

It’s another two-fer!

From 3-6pm on Wednesday, Dec. 4, I’ll have my State Icons, mini ornaments, and card boxes for sale at the WAM Holiday Sale, which takes place in the Weisman Art Museum’s Riverview Gallery. You’ll also find at this show jewelry by Larissa Loden, and the work of other local artisans.

Then, from 3-8pm on Friday, Dec. 6, and 9am-5pm on Saturday, Dec. 7, I’ll be at No Coast Craft-O-Rama at the Midtown Global Market in Uptown. I’m so excited for this show! It’s the craft fair of the year for Minnesotans, and I’ve tried for six years to get in. I guess the sixth was the charm! I’m really looking forward to it. You can get all of your holiday shopping done at this one show. Find all of the talented vendors here.

This weekend : Renegade Craft Fair – Austin

Renegade Craft Fair is almost here! A show I look forward to because A) it’s super fun, B) I’m successful in it, and C) it’s in Austin, TX, baby!

Renegade Craft Fair Austin

I’ve been to Austin twice now, both for this show (once in the winter, once in the summer), and I just love it. I’ll be traveling down with two other artists who will be participating in the fair, Larissa Loden and Michelle Brusegaard. Larissa and I are sharing a booth at the event, which takes place at the Palmer Events Center. So you can find us together. And Michelle is just right across the aisle from us. A crafter’s dream—to participate in a fun show and be near fun pals.

This weekend : Craftstravaganza

Whatcha doing this weekend, May 11? You’re coming to see me at Craftstravaganza?

The eighth annual event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and this year moves to the Eco Experience Building on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. It will feature 90 artist booths, including redshoes26.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, you can browse a variety of cool crafts. It’s all work done by artists and designers, so you can meet the real creative forces behind the work being sold. Free workshops are scheduled throughout the day, and the first 100 shoppers will receive free swag bags with samples of vendors’ work and other goodies.

This year’s activities include opportunities to:

  • Make little books and buttons with the Minnesota Center for Book Arts
  • Crochet, felt, and learn traditional Japanese braiding with the Textile Center
  • Learn about selling your art to a shop with the owners of I Like You
  • and more!

Craftstravaganza is free to attend, and there’s plenty of free parking around the Fairgrounds as well. I’ll see you there!
